Dog Ejected From Minor League Game

A member of the Greensboro Grasshoppers staff was ejected from a game against the visiting Chattanooga Lookouts. The staff member was "Master Yogi Berra" - the team's ball fetching dog.

"A spokesperson for the Grasshoppers says that Yogi was attempting his usual between inning promotion of fetching a ball shot to deep center field. While running back to homeplate, he stopped and relieved himself on the field.

This prompted homeplate umpire Jason Hutchings to eject the dog." (Source: Chattanoogan.com)

The Grasshoppers are the Clas A affiliate of the Florida Marlins. "Master Yogi Berra" is the younger brother of the Grasshoppers' other retriever - "Miss Babe Ruth. For what it's worth, "Master Yogi Berra" is reportedly feeling better.
